Obituary of Michael John Lupin

Beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Michael (Mike) John Lupin, 61, of Simi Valley passed away suddenly, on October 1, 2014, to be with Our Heavenly Father. He is now reunited with his father, his mother, his mother-in-law and father-in-law. He was born to the late Robert and Katherine Lupin on February 3, 1953 in Redondo Beach, Ca. He grew up in Redondo Beach with his brother Chuck and sisters Marta and Teresa. Mike graduated from Redondo Union High School in 1971. He married Valerie Valles on September 30, 1995. They moved to Simi Valley, Ca where they welcomed their son Joseph Rick Lupin (born April 14, 1998) and daughter Lucy Marie Lupin (born October 12, 2000) into the world. His children were the joy of his life. Mike worked at Alcoa Fastening Systems; formerly know as Fairchild Fasteners, of Simi Valley, as a sales representative for over 30yrs where he received many plaques and awards. Mike attended St. Rosa Lima Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved to surf, camp, and fish with his family. He loved the LA Dodgers and attended countless games. He also loved the beach and one of his favorite vacations was to Hawaii with his family. Mike is survived by his wife Valerie Lupin, and children Joseph and Lucy Lupin, of Simi Valley. He is survived by his siblings Chuck Lupin, Marta Lupin George, and Teresa Griffitts. He is also survived by his in-laws Angie and Dave Zander, Rick Valles, Paul and Jenny Valles, Victoria and Stephan Hardesty; his nephews and nieces Patrick, Gary, Jayme, Melissa, Chris, Alex, Eric, Justina, Jarad, Brian, Jaide, Jacey, Bryce, Leah, and Dylan. A viewing will be held between 5pm and 9pm Thursday, October 9,2014, at Rose Family Funeral Home in Simi Valley with Rosary at 7pm . A funeral mass will be held at 10am Friday, October 10, 2014 at St. Rosa Lima Catholic Church in Simi Valley. Burial will immediately follow at the San Fernando Mission. Following the burial, a reception will be held at the Lupin residence in Simi Valley.
