Obituary of Christine Robles

Please share a memory of Christine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On the evening of Sunday January 11th, 2015 Christine Robles died in her home at the age of 63. The cause was complications from breast cancer. Christine was born December 27th, 1951 in Los Angeles to Maria Jimenez and Victor Robles. She spent her childhood years in Boyle Heights and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1969. In 1971 she was married to Harold Lauritsen until 1986. During their time together they primarily lived in Panorama City and she had 3 children Christopher, Kimberly and Kelly. In 1988 she moved with her children to Van Nuys until 1997 when she moved to Granada Hills. In 2001 she married William Tackaberry. Christine met her first husband Harold while working at the United States Postal Service. After their marriage she traveled with Harold around the country until February 1981 when they founded Valley Plants, an indoor plant nursery in Panorama City. After her divorce she worked as a Real Estate agent for Park Regency and through work met her second husband Sheriff William Tackaberry. She later worked at the Southern California Gas Company and finally Princess Cruises. Christine loved to travel and was able to see most of the United States. Working at Princess Cruises allowed her to enjoy her final years traveling internationally to Europe, Egypt, Mexico, Central America, The Caribbean as well as Alaska and Hawaii. Christine also enjoyed caring for animals, knitting and was an avid reader. She leaves behind her husband William, her three children Christopher, Kimberly and Kelly and six grand-daughters Alexis, Veronica, Hannah, Lily, Christina and Madison; all of whom brought great joy to her. “Strong, Fearless and Selfless”
