Walter Ernest Killian went to be with his Lord on Friday, March 20, 2015, after a lengthy battle, bravely fought, with colon cancer and a myriad of other ailments. Walt was a shining example of strength and dignity to all who knew him. Walt was born on October 30, 1943 in Portsmouth, Virginia. He served proudly in the United States Army in Viet Nam. Walt was a CSI for the UCLA Police Department for many years, then went on to a new career, culminating in partnership with his wife Marilyn in a business of their own. Walt was preceded in death by his father Walter Edmund Killian, his mother Elizabeth Madeline Beech Killian, his grandparents, Frederick and Mildred Beech and Harley and Mabel Killian. Walt is survived by his devoted family: Wife Marilyn Cirino Killian; sister Linda Killian Quesinberry, brothers Fredrick Harley Killian and David Summers; children Paul Steven Killian, Christopher Michael Killian, William Edward Kozak and Lisa Kozak Santos; grandchildren Shannon Killian, Dierdre Killian, Crystal Kozak, Katie Santos, Jessica Santos and Ryan Newbert; Great Grandchildren Ace Kozak and Lilly Newbert. Services are pending at Cornerstone Church Simi Valley. Burial will be at a future date at the National Cemetery in Bakersfield, California.
