Obituary of Jeffrey Coleman Ross

Please share a memory of Jeffrey to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jeffrey Coleman Ross, 65, passed at his Sherman Oaks home Tuesday following a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. A New York native, Ross graduated from Ardsdale High School and the State University of New York at Geneseo, moving to California in 1978 to launch his media career. He began with work on several of Norman Lear’s hit television sitcoms, also participating in production of the annual Grammy Awards telecasts and the Kennedy Center Honors. He next moved from production to representing talent for the William Morris Agency, graduating to the creation of his own personal management firm, Jeff Ross Entertainment in 1982. Following his marriage to Shareen Goon in 2001, he introduced his bride to his beloved Yankees and a host of other passions: fast cars, standup comedy, rock n’ roll, fine food and globetrotting. Family and friends will fondly remember Jeff’s penchant for bad puns, his devilish grin, his passion for politics and storytelling, his gift of gab, kind heart and boundless generosity. In addition to his darling Shareen, his sister Sharon and two brothers, Robert and Allan, survive Jeff. He leaves cousins, clients and friends by the score. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the Jeff Ross Fund at the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research: http://www.pancreatic.org/fund/jeffross
