Obituary of Anthony Amedio Amoroso

Please share a memory of Anthony to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Anthony A Amoroso (Tony) of Palm Desert, passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday Morning, November 8, 2015 just before his 83rd birthday. He was the youngest of 3 brothers. He is survived by his loving wife, Maridell. He leaves behind 7 children, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons which he loved to the moon and back and was the first to brag to you about all of his cubs and sub-cubs. He graduated from UCLA in 1955. He was a UCLA football player as well as playing second fiddle in the string quartet. He was a member of the Air National Guard which is known today as the 101st Airborne division. With his three masters degrees he became a very successful architectural engineer which allowed him to travel the world working for multiple corporations. Tony was president of Producers Council, President of Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce as well as Man of the Year in the early 60's. Tony had a huge love of music. He studied and sang opera. He is remembered for his love of his dogs - always the best show dogs - German Shepherds imported from Germany and Rottweiler's imported from Holland. He is also a well respected AKC Judge and in the early 60's was one of the first Guide Dogs for the Blind representatives in the San Rafael Valley. He raised millions of dollars for that organization. Above all, his most important accomplishment was his loving family. We will celebrate our Fathers life on November 12 at San Fernando Mission. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in the name Anthony Amoroso at www.guidedogsofamerica.org.
