In Loving Memory Mary Lourdes Fazio Mary Lourdes Fazio, age 82 years, died with peace and grace on November 1, 2015, with her family by her side. Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 18405 Superior Street, Northridge, CA, 91325 on November 14, 2015 at 11 am. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial luncheon held immediately after mass at Riviera Mobile Estates Community Hall at 8801 Eton Avenue, Canoga Park, CA 91304. Mary was born in Rome, New York to Ralph and Kathleen Kaier Mantelli in 1932. She was most proud of raising her family and careers as an x-ray technician and a medical assistant to Dr. James Gallo and Dr. Krishna Vadlamudi. While living in New York, you could always find Mary with family and friends, especially every Saturday night with the pinochle card crew. After she and her husband retired, they moved to California to be closer to their three sons. Mary was a strong woman who enjoyed life and people. Her Italian kitchen was never closed. Mary is survived by her husband, Michael A. Fazio, sons Michael J. (Ioana) Fazio, John R. (Gessildo) Fazio, James W. (Lacie) Fazio, beautiful grandchildren; brothers Robert Mantelli, William Mantelli, and Paul Mantelli, sisters Marlene Mantelli Schrefer and Kathleen Mantelli Stevens; brothers-in-law Harry Schrefer, Frank Fazio, Anthony (Donna) Fazio; sisters-in-law Barbara Mantelli, Sylvia Mantelli, and Suzanne Mantelli, Filomena Fazio Cilani, Joanne Fazio Boylan, and wonderful nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, in-laws John and Mary Fazio, brothers Ralph Mantelli and Francis (Bud) Mantelli, brothers-in-law Jim Boylan, Anthony Stevens, Joseph Vendetti, and sisters-in-law Rose Mantelli, Carmelina Fazio Garofalo and Doris Fazio. Memorial donations may be made to the Fazio Family Trust (via check), Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org), Patient Access Network Foundation (www.panfoundation.org), American Heart Association (www.heart.org), or American Lung Association (www.lung.org). The family recommends local florist St. Germain Flowers (www.sgflowers.com). We wish to extend our gratitude to all the healthcare providers that assisted in Mary Fazio’s diagnosis, treatment, and care.
