Margaret Mancilla (1946 - 2011) Margaret Mancilla, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2011, in Simi Valley, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Ensenada, Mexico on June 10, 1946 to Manuel and Josephine Madrigal. She grew up in Carson California where she attended Carson High School and also achieved her Associates Degree at L.A. City College Community College. She worked for St. Judes Medical as a Process Operator for over 33 years. Recently retiring, she enjoyed shopping, cooking, and spending time with her family. She was an active member in the Ya-Ya's Sisterhood, associated with the Knights of Columbus. She was known for her love to cook and she enjoyed trying out new recipes. She is preceded in death by her son, Thomas. Margaret is survived by her husband of 45 years, Henry, and their three remaining children, Eric (Lori), Janina, and Lillian (Frank), eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, her sister, Jenny, her brother Manuel and many nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing at Rose Family Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 19, with a rosary at 7 p.m. We will celebrate her life with a funeral mass at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at St. Rose of Lima Church, Simi Valley. Bethany will immediately follow at St. Rose of Lima school hall. Assisting the family with arrangements is the family owned and operated Rose Family Funeral Home and Cremation of Simi Valley.
