Obituary of Dale deBoisblanc

Dale Anthony deBoisblanc, 27, of Thousand Oaks, died in his sleep April 23, 2012. He was born January 6, 1985 in Simi Valley, the son of Thomas deBoisblanc and Dana (Rhymer) Bucci. He attended Thousand Oaks High school and graduated from Conejo Valley High School in 2003. At Thousand Oaks High School, he was a member of the Lancer Band and he was active in Hockey through high school as well. Dale was currently a Private in the California Army National Guard, 1072nd Transportation Company, and one of 40 soldiers on standby status in support of their unit deployed in Afghanistan. His current military experience was his most valued accomplishment and he was a proud American soldier. In his life Dale also excelled in high school band as a percussionist, at roller and ice hockey, soccer, and he also loved to work on cars once he graduated from taking apart everything in sight as a young boy. He was known by all for his unique infectious laugh, a huge loving heart, and the willingness to give to others of his time and caring. Dale's home church was Raymond Community Church, at his home away from home with his Aunt Lori and Uncle John in Raymond, CA. Dale also liked to attend Shepherds House Foursquare Church in Thousand Oaks with his family. Dale is survived by his parents Thomas & Marlene deBoisblanc, and Dana & Michael Bucci of Thousand Oaks; his brothers Nick and Dillon and his sisters Jenna, Brianna, and Hannah. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Ray & Nancy Rhymer, of Roseville and Simi Valley CA; his paternal grandfather Lionel deBoisblanc of Grass Valley, CA; and his uncles and aunts Dale & Jean Rhymer and Lonny & Bonnie deBoisblanc. He is also survived by his spiritual parents, Lori and John Strobel of Raymond; his close friend Ryan Baldridge; his Raymond "brother" Jason; and a slew of aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Rose Family Funeral Home in Simi Valley. The funeral will be held on Monday, April 30 at 10:00am at Cornerstone Church, 2080 Winifred St., in Simi Valley. A short gathering will commence just after the funeral followed by a graveside memorial at Assumption Cemetery, at 1380 Fitzgerald Rd., in Simi Valley.
