The world became less bright with the passing of my favorite uncle, Bob. He was one of a kind and much loved and appreciated by me and my family. Bob and Jackie and my parents, Howard and Ruth (Jackie's sister) were great friends and had such fun together during many excursions and visits. I am attaching a photo that was taken of the four of them in Heber, Utah while there to ride the "Heber Creeper" train.
Bob was a friend to me and a source of wise counsel during some very hard times in my life. He was also so very kind to my brother, Dan, who was both mentally and physically challenged. There was never a birthday, Christmas, or other special occasion that passed without Bob and Jackie remembering Dan with cards and gifts. In between the special occasions, numerous postcards and notes were sent to Dan. Words can not adequately express what such thoughtfulness meant to Dan, individually, and to the rest of our family.
There is a special place in heaven for the Bob Sharp's of the world and I know "our" Bob is there right now. He will be missed, but thought of often with wonderful memories of the very special person that he was.
