Arturo Meneses (Art) Dulay, 86, of Simi Valley, CA, passed away on November 15, 2019 at home, surrounded by family.

 

Memorial service will be held at Rose Family Chapel on December 13, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Melicio of St. Peter Claver officiating.  Reception to follow at Rose Family.

 

Art was born in Manila, Philippines to Petronilo and Rosario Dulay on October 20, 1933. He went to high school in New York and Japan as his father traveled the world as an ambassador of the Philippines in the Netherlands.  He graduated from St. Louis High School in Hawaii in 1952.  He went on to the University of Hawaii.  He worked as a Controller for Children's Home Society for 40 years.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, photography, and dancing with his wife Elie.  He received the Honorary Service Award from PTSA, and the Lifetime Pioneer Award from Simi Valley High School and was involved in Ventura County YMCA. Club Latino Americano, Simi Valley High Boosters and City of Simi Valley Council on Aging.

 

Arturo is survived by his wife Eleanor of Simi Valley, daughter Teri Hypes and Ron Hypes, son Duane Dulay, daughter Corinne Varble, granddaughter Gina Velasco, grandson Christopher Marshall, granddaughters Whitney Marshall and Rheanne Marshall, grandsons Connor Varble and Owen Varble, great-granddaughters Lily Meadows and Frankie Bynum and sister Corazon Faralli.  He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Florante Dulay and sister Remedios Reyes.

 

Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association at your local chapter.  The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Adventist Hospital Home Care Hospice Staff and the Rose Family staff.
