Angelo "Sonny" Charles Mazza, of Westlake Village, California, passed away on May 5, 2020 at age 77. Sonny was born in Philadelphia, PA to Charles and Josephine on December 8, 1942. He graduated from Bishop Neumann High School in 1960, then went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s University in 1964. After St. Joseph’s, he went on to serve in the Army Reserves and also began his career at State Farm Insurance. He retired from State Farm in 2004 after 39 years, as a leader who challenged others to be their best. Being involved in charity was important to him and his most meaningful work was with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. He enjoyed spending time with family and close friends, but Sonny was especially energized when presented the opportunity to intellectually debate the values and morals surrounding religious, political, or philosophical issues….or really any issue. Sonny was the beloved husband of Nicki (nee) Mastropaolo, his wife of 51 years. He is survived by his sons Charles (Wendy) and Michael (Danielle); grandchildren John and Erin, Joseph, Vincent and Corrina; brother John (Susan), brother-in-law and sister-in-law Joe and Marie Barbieri, niece Carol (Andy) and family, nephew Stephen, aunts, and many cousins and friends. Sonny's life will be honored with a Memorial Mass and celebration of life to be held in the future. Sonny lived by the Jesuit motto of “Men For Others”. Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul: St. Vincent de Paul 155 E Janss Road Thousand Oaks, CA 91360
