Attended – Iowa State Collage in Ames, Iowa
Obtained State Licensing as Land Surveyor in 1971 and Civil Engineer in 1981. Held Licensing in California, Arizona and in Nevada at one time. Worked offshore on the Alaskan Pipeline and was self-employed for many years.
Hobbies: Hunting; camping; fishing; motorcycle riding; riverbed street racing; square dancing and leather tooling. His favorite of all was working and wanted to work until he was 90.
Marriages: Phyllis Coursey and Inez Prescott
Preceded in death by Parents, Stepmother Hazel Hovell, Sister Maureen Fischer (Clifford Bankes and John Fischer); Phyllis Coursey; Inez Hovell; Harold Dixon –brother in law; Infant daughter Mary Kathrine Hovell; Billy Harold Prescott; Shirley Marie Prescott and Oliver Cervantes.
Survived by: Wife Gabriella Marie Hovell; Children: Jeryl Eileen Hovell (Tim Roe); Teddi Lavey (Tom); Kenny Thorne; Daniel Ray Prescott (Ann); Randy Lee Prescott (Sue); Victoria Gonzalez (Daniel); Rachel Cervantes (Rigo); Richard Portilla (Danielle); Sister Judy Richardson (Dave), Several Grand Children and Great Grand Children; sister Pat Dixon and several other Nieces and Nephews.
Final Wish List: Go on trip to Northern California and take Gabby to see the Redwoods; Complete landscaping in backyard.
