Obituary of Luis Higa

Luis Higa, 82, of Simi Valley, CA, passed away on 07/18/2021 in Los Angeles, CA.

Visitation will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home and Cremation, 4444 Cochran St., Simi Valley, CA 93063 on 08/06/2021 at 5:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.  Rose Family Funeral Home and Cremation will be handling the funeral arrangements.  Burial will be held at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, 1380 Fitzgerald Road, Simi Valley, CA 96065 on 08/07/2021 at 11:00 A.M.  

Luis was born in Peru to Choko Higa on 04/06/1939.  He went to high school at Gran Unidad Escolar.  He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from CSULA.  He also received a certification for Medical Technologist from Pierce College.  He worked as a scientist for West Hills Hospital for over 45 years.  He received a Golden Performer award as well as years in service awards.  He enjoyed learning, gardening, and spending time with his pup, Conan.  

Luis is survived by his son Eric and his granddaughter, Jasmine of Chatsworth, CA.  He is also survived by his two sons from his first marriage:  Hugo and Mark.  He is preceded in death by his son, Michael and his wife, Maria.
