My earliest memories of Genie, family and fun began after my family moved across the street from the Sperows, and Janelle and I became fast friends as toddlers. I was quickly inducted as an honorary family member, and experienced all the joys, sleepovers, Genie's great cooking, vacations and any well deserved discipline when needed. A truly wonderful, giving, happy, "can do" person that graced everyone's life she came in contact with. Thank you for all of my loving and happy childhood memories.

Words cannot adequately describe what an incredible woman Genie truly was. We met her in Taos.....through her beloved daughter, Janelle. Genie had a sharp sense of humor, was a compassionate person, a good listener, and so very intelligent and fun that I hung onto every word she uttered. She touched my heart...and will long be remembered for her vibrant outlook on life. May you rest in peace with those who have gone before, Genie. And may those who love you on this earth find comfort in their memories of your grace and elegance.

I will always remember in vivid technocolor being welcomed at Genie's gorgeous house on the hills of California. She treated me with such warmth as Don's wife!! She holds a special spot in my memories as a perfect example of love and thoughtful caring..

Genie was my older cousin—some 16 years older than I. When our family was displaced early in WWII, we temporarily stayed at the Redwood house in Glendale. As a 5-year-old, I wondered why Genie was going out with some soldier. Later, she and Jack visited us as I was growing up in southern Colorado. When I went to Pomona College near Los Angeles, Genie and Jack, with their children, occasionally took me on family outings and hosted me during school breaks. During my career years, Genie and Jack visited my own family in Los Alamos, New Mexico, and even appeared at a site where we were digging dinosaur bones. Late in our lives, Genie urged my wife and me to move to the Sequoias senior community in the bay area of California, where we would spend the final years of our retirement. I still treasured her companionship. She was my source of information about the Neeper family. I’ll miss her continuing guidance as I complete my own final development into senior adulthood.

My beautiful Bebe lived an amazing and most fulfilling life. She was an angel on Earth and now in Heaven. Her spirit lives on in all of us. I am eternally grateful to have spent much time with her and my Grandparents. I will forever cherish the beautiful memories of her. Her smile and her laugh lit up a room. She immediately became the center of attention. Her stories and experiences were always so fascinating to me. I could sit and listen to her for hours. She is no longer in pain and is now reunited with Papa Jack and Uncle Jeff.
Until we meet again, my Bebe. I can't wait to hug you
Love always,
Tomaso

I loved Genie, as did my husband, Terry Germann. We were privileged to spend time with her in Taos. Her love and knowledge of the bible was inspiring to us. She will be in my heart as she explores heaven. Susan Germann
