Obituary of William C. Fleming IV

William C Fleming IV, age 88, passed away February 7, 2025, due to natural causes.

 

He was born September 18, 1936 in San Antonio, Texas. After honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, he joined the Corpus Christi, Texas, Police Department. He went to W.B. Ray High School and Del Mar College in Corpus Christi before completing a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree at the University of Houston. He was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Beta Gamma Sigma, and Omicron Delta Epsilon honor societies. While attending the University of Houston, he worked in public affairs for NASA Manned Spacecraft Center in Clear Lake, Texas, during the Gemini project.

 

After earning his Bachelor’s degree with honors, he joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation and was assigned in Omaha, Nebraska, before his transfer to Los Angeles, California, in 1970. He served as one of the first regional directors of the FBI Agents Association. He earned a Master of Science Degree in Administration of Justice from California Lutheran University.

 

After retirement from the FBI in 1993, he worked as a Licensed Private Investigator. He lived in Westlake Village, CA, with his wife Patricia for 42 years before her passing in 2014 due to a tragic accident. He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia, his daughter Tami Clay, his sister Sue Cross, and his brother Robert Fleming. He is survived by his son, William C. Fleming V of Houston, Texas, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, as well as Patricia’s four children, ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church 32032 W. Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake Village, CA, on March 1, 2025, at 10:00 am. Following the services, there will be a catered lunch at the church reception room. Burial will take place at the Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
