I had the honor of working with María at Moorpark College since 2023. She was a light on campus and a champion for students. Her work made a difference in the lives of thousands of people in our community.

María, thank you for your welcoming kindness when I came to Moorpark College in 2015. I will always cherish the small crystal Christmas tree you gave me. Every year when I put it on my desk I think of you. Thank you for all of our conversations and advise you gave me. You were a caring and generous colleague. Maria was my friend and colleague. She was caring and giving to all. She was passionate about her work and enjoyed helping students. She always had a smile and always willing to help everyone.
