Rosie was a part of life for so long. I mostly recall her comforting a crying son of ours as a baby....she felt I was too skinny to probably quiet his crying! Her parents, Mason and Millie held bonfire in our small town of Kittredge, Colorado each summer. Mason would walk through town beating a drum calling out "bonfire tonight!" and we would all follow to their home place. They had a merry -go-round and a sandbox with nickels and dimes to dig for. Half way through the evening, Millie, would come out with a basket of candy bars! A rare treat in our small town.
The street with their place is still called Welch Avenue.
A great family! that I was blessed to know for my entire life.
