Obituary of Marian M Oller
Marian M Oller, born in Socorro, Santander, Colombia died peacefully in her own home, on Tuesday, May 3, 2017 at 10:05 p.m. in Moorpark, California. She was 87. She was the eldest sibling of four sisters and three brothers. She was very instrumental in her brothers and sisters’ upbringing. A few years after her arrival to the states in 1965, she became a citizen of the United States. She was married and had four children, Myriam, Hernando, Patricia and Nestor and is also survived by her grandchildren Dana Rodriguez and Scotty Drumheller, great grandchildren Garrett Petrula and Teresa George, Gerson Lopez, Nestor Lopez, Josafat Lopez, Luisa Fernanda Lopez, and great great grandchildren Rileigh Petrula and Samuel George. A beautiful soul, Marian loved music and being surrounded by her family and friends. She loved to sing. She also played the accordion. In her early years, she was a very accomplished seamstress. One of her favorite past times was to watch football (European / Hispanic Soccer). She has been the greatest inspiration in our lives, even though she was in a great deal of pain due to her acute arthritis and frustration and confusion with Alzheimer’s and Dementia she showed us how to persevere through all that was happening. We love her with all our hearts and she is going to be greatly missed. Cremation services are being handled by Rose Family Funeral Home & Cremation in Simi Valley, CA.
A memorial service to celebrate and remember Marian’s life will be held at 15750 Arroyo Drive #13, Moorpark, CA 93021 on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Please feel free to think about your special memories you have of her, as we will have a time of sharing set aside at the memorial
