Celebration Of Life
Obituary of Donald Steven Ree
October20, 1948-October 1, 2018
A very fine man departed unexpectedly October 1, 2018 from a sudden illness.
Don was born in Ventura County, California and raised in North Hollywood by his
beloved parents, William and Edna Ree, who have preceded him in death. Don
attended Hollywood High and Pierce College. He was fortunate to follow in his
father’s footsteps working for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.
He retired on August 1, 2006 after 40 years of service. He made many lifelong
friends during his employment. On May 25, 2002, Don married the love of his life
Linda (Doty) Ree. Their life together became one adventure after another.
Everyone loved Don. He was well respected, generous, warm hearted, always
there with helping hands and open arms for the best hugs! Don is survived by his
wife, Linda. Sister, Sue Giacinto. In-laws, John Doty, Stef Barnet and Cheryl
Aggers. Nephews and Nieces, William Giacinto, Landon Aggers, Justin and Brittany
Silva, Mindy and David Larson. Their children, who in his heart, became his
grandchildren.
“I miss your smile, your voice
Your sense of humor, your hugs…
Your way of making things better
Mostly, I miss you.”
Michelle Russell
A special THANK YOU to Tom and Debbie Martin for giving me strength when I
had none and Todd and Brandy Levine and their loving children for all their
kindness.
A celebration of life will be held on his birthday, October 20, 2018.
