Obituary of Bruce Wilson

Bruce Andrew Wilson, 70, died Saturday, February 2, 2013 in Simi Valley, California following a long illness. Bruce is survived by wife of 20 years Maryann Isaacs-Wilson; three daughters, Tracey Wilson of Perth, Australia, Tamara Wilson of Mountain View, CA, and Jacqui Wilson of Oakland, CA; and two step-children, Gregory Isaacs of Simi Valley, CA, and Krista Schipp of Newbury Park, CA.; six grandchildren, Nicholas, Hannah, Annabelle, Lucas, Gehrig, and Addison. Bruce was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 26, 1942, the only son of Jerome and Mary Alice Wilson. He graduated from Park College in Parkville, Missouri in 1964 with a degree in Economics. He also attended officer candidate school and served in the US Army from 1996 to 1969 as a Second Lieutenant in the armored cavalry. He spent his professional career working for Maui Pineapple Company LTD for 33 years before retiring. Bruce had multiple interests over his lifetime which included motorcycles, running, hiking, racquetball, model railways, trains and travel. He was a passionate supporter of the Oakland "A's" baseball team. His love for everyone led him to volunteering for Big Brothers Big Sisters where he mentored Brent Roeber for ten years. Mr. Wilson, Papa Bruce, Mr. Bruce, Bruce, Dad was well loved by so many, quick to smile and laughed easily and often He fiercely loved those close to him and will be very sorely missed. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 1, 2013 at St. Rose of Lima Church in Simi Valley at 11:00 a.m. with a private burial in San Francisco.
