Memories I will always have of Grandma: sweet and caring demeanor, family Christmas parties, NEVER forgetting a birthday, your love of music and the arts, and doing whatever you could to help children. You were the sweet lady who was the definition of a grandma. So glad our boys got a chance to meet you and you had 6 great years being a great-grandma (but you were always a GREAT grandma). Will always love and miss you...

Rose was a kind, understanding, loving person. She was fun to go on adventures, plays, dinners and movies with. She was always upbeat and cheerful, no matter how much pain she was in. She made me feel like another son, not a son in law. She truly defined the term lady. She will truly be missed by us.

We were not ready to loose mom. We spoke of future adventures, plays, gardens, art exhibitions, and restaurants we were going to explore. We never made it to the Norman Rockwell exhibit, which was top of our list after surgery.
Mom, you fought so hard! You gave it your all. You have left us with so many memories and an example of how to live. Your example has changed lives and effects will never be lost. Our hearts are broken, but your love will live forever. We love you mommy❤️

Mary Ellen and I have very cherished memories of our wonderful sister-in-law and family! Many memorable events while living in Southern California include trips to Lake Tahoe, Disneyland, Christmas and Thanksgiving with Grandmother (Lillian) and Grandfather (Ralph) Mathias in San Fernando. We will truly miss Rose, but know that she is together with family and friends in Heaven with our Lord. Memories are God's precious gift! May God comfort you until we meet again.
