Obituary of Nancy Jeanne Shanahan
Please share a memory of Nancy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Nancy Shanahan, 64, CA peacefully passed away in her home surrounded by loved ones on February 11, 2020.
Nancy was born in Wilmington, DE. She was raised in Wilmington, DE and moved out west to Los Angeles in 1979. She went on to earn a nursing degree from Pierce College. She worked as a nurse all over the San Fernando Valley. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother, and in the more recent years becoming a Nana to her grandson, Brixton. She was very devoted to her faith and was involved in her church by attending faith group, bible study, and volunteering at church events.
Nancy Shanahan is survived by her father, her husband, her children, her son-in-law, and her grandson. Along with her six siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother.
Nancy was a dedicated mother, wife, Nana, sister, and friend. She was a kind, caring, and selfless woman who always put others before herself. She will be truly missed by all but will forever remain in our hearts. Nancy always talked about returning back to Delaware to be with her family, therefore her remains will be laid to rest in Wilmington, DE, near her family.
As we all know Nancy always had a big heart, and one of things she always wished she could do was help all the Veterans, therefore in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the foundation Homes for Our Troops: https://hfotusa.networkforgood.com
