Obituary of Irene Holub
Irene Holub, 92
Valencia, CA - Irene (Kisiel) Holub, 92, formally of Worcester, MA, passed away on July 1, 2020. Her husband, Walter Holub, died in 1993. She leaves a son, Richard Holub and his wife Janice of Spencer, MA, her daughter, Christine (Holub) Ciociolo, with whom she lived. She also leaves a grandson, Matt Ciociolo of Los Angeles, a granddaughter, Andrea DaCosta of North Carolina, 3 great-grandsons, many nieces and nephews both here and in Argentina. A grandson, Nicholas Ciociolo, passed away in 2003. She also leaves her “adopted” granddaughter, Julia Ciociolo.
Two brothers, Edward Kisiel of Auburn and Mieczyslaw Kisiel of Buenos Aires, predeceased her.
She was born in Poland, the daughter of Jan and Helena (Burzynski) Kisiel, moved to Buenos Aires as a young girl and later immigrated to the US in 1962. She worked at David Clark Company until her retirement in 1990.
Irene enjoyed going to the casinos, especially in Las Vegas where she always asked us to help her find her favorite “Cherry” slot machine at the Venetian. She was also a big fan of the all-ice bar “Minus 5” that her grandson would take her to and they would drink orange juice out of ice glasses and wear eskimo gear.
We will all surely miss our “Babci”. She is now with Dziadzi and Nicky and hopefully they can help her find her “Basket”️ ❤️
We would like to thank Dr. Gene Dorio for his many years of exceptional care and his wittiness and sense of humor that always entertained Irene. Also, thank you to the kind doctors, nurses and staff of Studio City Rehabilitation Center for their compassionate care and understanding of this disease.
