Obituary of Rudolph James Bova
On Sunday November 29th, 2020, Rudolph "Rudy" James Bova, a loving father, brother, and Papa, passed away. He died peacefully in his sleep at home, with his family at his side.
Rudy was born April 19th,1929 in Buffalo New York to Mary and James Bova. After he married and started a family, he moved to California in 1957 where Rudy successfully ran two businesses. He was a tool and die maker by trade and worked hard to provide for his family. He later met and married the love of his life with whom he traveled the world until her passing in 2013.
Rudy was an extremely creative man. He built many things including furniture, a car and a boat. He loved music, art, and fishing trips with his family. His house was the home of many annual family holiday gatherings, making memories cherished by all. He loved his friends and family very much.
Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Judy Cerajewski, his second wife Pat Bova, his sister Rose Alaimo, and his son-in-law James Garner. He is survived by his siblings: Bertha Shipton in North Tonawanda, Dorothy Edwards in Moorpark, and Joseph Bova (Barbara) in Syracuse; his children: Gary Bova (Angela), Leslie Garner, Laurie Byerrum (Glen), and Jamie Bova; his step children: Lyn Love (Jack), and Michael McClane; 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who all loved him very much.
A memorial to celebrate the life of Rudolph James Bova is being planned for early spring at his home in Simi Valley California.
