I worked for Kenny back in 1985-1986 when the company was called RTM. and the office was located in Northridge. I remember when he was opening a restaurant in Riverside and another one in Sepulveda. He was so excited and nervous at the same time.
He was a wonderful boss and I learned a lot from him. So full of live with a twinkle in his eye. I loved his accent. And the brownies he sometimes brought for me from Kountry Folks were fabulous.
We used to have a game where he would ask me a particular vendor's phone number and I would recite it by heart. He used to brag to his boss that I was a human rolodex! I thought of him over the years especially when Kountry Folks in Simi Valley was changed to First Street Restaurant and wondered what he was doing after all these years.
I'm happy to see that he had a wonderful life. I remembered when Robert and Kenny Jr were little. To read that they are married and are fathers is really amazing. I'm sure Kenny was a fun grandfather. He will truly be missed
