Obituary of Yolanda Rosalie Luba

Yolanda Rosalie Luba was a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cherished neighbor and friend. She had a wonderful smile, caring personality, and adventurous spirit. She fought her lung cancer to the bitter end but sadly succumbed to it on Tuesday April 13th. She is eternally loved and will be missed by all that came to know her. 

Yolanda Rosalie Luba, 72 , of Chatsworth, California, passed away on April 13, 2021 in Van Nuys, California.

Funeral service and burial will be held at Oakwood Memorial Park on April 26, 2021 at 11:30 am with Reverend Abe of Sheppard of the Hill officiating. Rose Family Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.

Yolanda Rosalie Luba was born in the city of Burbank to Mr. and Mrs. Pedro Soto on December 25th 1948. She went to high school at Chatsworth High School and graduated in 1967. She went on to attend some college classes at Valley College in liberal arts. She worked as an office manager for L.A.U.S.D. at Lowman Special Education Center for over 15 years. She enjoyed polka dancing with her husband Alfred Marcel Luba, her gardening, traveling, cooking, spending time with loved ones especially her grand children, and arts and crafts. 

She received a dean’s award at Valley College, and was involved in financially donating to International Fellowship of Christians & Jews, and City of Hope. 

Yolanda is survived by her two children; Bryant and Felicia of Van Nuys; her siblings, Marcel, Cruz, Maurice, Cindy, and Anthony; her grandchildren, Briana, Jacob, and Nareg; and her nieces and nephews, Arthur, Christina, Paul, Jennifer, Jackelyn, Cory, Terra, and Anthony. She is preceded in death by her husband,  Alfred Marcel Luba. Sadly she had lost her oldest grandson, Kevin, and her oldest Nephew William last year. 

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to family, friends, and neighbors.
