Dear Xavier and Wong Family,
We are sorry for the loss of your dad, whom we call "Uncle Stanton" (and your mom, too, Auntie Grace). You know, up here in Seattle, I will always remember him as THE ONE in California who got us all started and interested in our (Yee side) FAMILY TREE! We didn't know how to start, didn't know how to look it up, or even know how to lay it out for all to see...but HE did, and we all appreciated his time and effort put into it. (I remember thinking, "he put all of this on a diskette? What's a diskette?" :)) So many years ago, but still so precious.
I mean, as a parent of young adults today, I can see how important it is to let our kids know about those who came before us, and to know more about our family history and about how we are all are interconnected together. Good stuff.
And now you, Xavier, have helped me with some recent ancestor searches, too, and your dad would be proud of that! :) Thanks for being one of my "go-to" guys for this!
I hope your 7/23 gathering brings all of your family together with lots of peace, joy, and hugs, as you celebrate your dad's life! It was a life WELL -LIVED for sure.
Sincerely, Debbie (Eng) Chan, and family: Gordon; daughters Cece and Christa

Dear Russell, Stan Alan, Terence, Valerie,Wendy and Xavier.
Your parents were friends and neighbors where we lived in old Chinatown (Chinatown was here in our San Pedro Street neighborhood in the 30"s; the Chinese New Year Dragon Dance parade march down our street).
Your Dad was our Best Man in our wedding, your Mom a bridesmaid, and little Russell was our Ring Bearer.
One of the earlist investment that your Dad and Uncle Alan purchased was a multi-unit complex on Johnston Street. It had two houses in back and units in front; Our families lived there a couple of years until your folks moved to
Santa Monica and we moved to Pasadena.
Your Dad was a wise and astute person; He was successful in whatever he ventured into.
There were some very special tours and land tours we enjoyed with your folks and friends. There were some exotic places and unusual creatures on these tours that brings back great fun and memories.
It is with much appreciation and gratefulness in having known your Father throughout the years. For his warm, caring and generous ways will stay with me forever.
With love and my condolences,
"Aunt" Lani

My condolences to the Wong family. I worked for Mr. Wong at HW Systems starting when they were in Los Angeles on 6th street, then moving out to Van Nuys. I was secretary to Stan, Bill McCreary and Jerry Koory. It was a fun place to work and I learned a lot from all of them. The building in V.N. was shared with Whittaker Corp. The computer room was always "freezing" cold...back in the day when computers were huge. RIP Mr. Wong

The Ong family of San Diego express our deepest sympathy for the passing of Stanton. We have fond memories of Stanton & Grace’s family.
In 1967 their young Wendy & Xavier were the flower girl & ring bearer at Olin & Leonard’s wedding in San Diego.
Throughout the years Stanton & Grace’s family were warm & gracious at family gatherings in Los Los Angeles & San Diego.
We will miss a truly amazing & kind family man, Stanton.
With deepest regards, the Ongs.
Olin (&Leonard), Glen (& Saeko), Gail , Vicky (& Al) & their families.

My fondest memory of Dad is when we lived on Kansas Avenue in Santa Monica. I remember him standing in the doorway, comfortably leaning against the door jamb, the hallway light silhouetting his head and shoulders, singing a song to Valerie and me before we went to sleep each night.
Love and miss you Dad, Wendy

There is not a day that has passed when I'm not reminded of him in some way or another. Grandpa touched my life in so many ways. Big ways - how I view the world and want to do my best and make him proud. Other ways - little joys of food and songs. I remember eating nuts and snacks with him and being spun around and around in a chair as a child. Here are two photos with him doing the very same things with my children. Grandpa, your life was well lived and I miss you deeply and love you so much.
