Obituary of Shirley Jean Finner
Shirley Jean Finner, 84, of Porter Ranch, California, went home to be with Jesus on February 26, 2022 in Mission Hills, California.
Funeral service will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home, 4444 Cochran St., Simi Valley, CA., on Friday, March 18th at 11:00 am., Pastor Tim Schoen of the Church at Rocky Peak officiating. Rose Family Funeral Home will be handling all the arrangements.
Shirley was born in San Bernardino, California to Joseph and Lily Hager on February 12, 1938. She went to high school at Culver City High School and graduated in 1955. Many years later in 1984, she earned an Associate of Arts degree in American Sign Language, from Pierce College in Woodland Hills, California. She was a joyful wife and stay at home mom, who thoroughly enjoyed her true calling. She also successfully managed the business office for “Finner and Son Painting”. She enjoyed cooking, reading and sewing. She especially enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She interpreted for the deaf for many years at The Church at Rocky Peak, where she was a partner and enjoyed worshipping and serving the Lord for the last 25 years of her life.
Shirley is survived by her son Ray and daughter-in-law Myriam, daughter Kathy and son-in-law Walt, grandchildren Tim, Silvana, Jon, Victoria, Kathryn and Pete; great grandchildren, Samuel, Liliana and Joseph.
