Pat was born in LaCrosse, Wisconsin on March 17, 1924. She went to high school at Aquinas High School in LaCrosse and after graduating worked at Trane Company as a secretary.  She met her husband John Hallstein and was married at Holy Trinity Church, LaCrosse. They moved to California. Pat and John were involved in activities with St. Catherine’s of Sienna, Reseda and St. Genevieve’s High School where their children went to school. Through the years Pat enjoyed square dancing, antique shopping with friends, trailer camping with her family, and gardening. After moving to Simi Valley, she enjoyed volunteering for activities at St. Peter Claver Church and traveled with friends from church to Rome and on a cruise to the Virgin Islands. She enjoyed walking in her neighborhood and will be remembered by many for her friendly smile.

Pat is survived by her children Terry Hallstein, Mary Beth Schmidt, and Nancy Hallstein, and her grandchildren Amanda Marvell and Nathan Schmidt. She is preceded in death by her husband John Robert Hallstein.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Tribute Gift at act.alz.org or Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Fl.17, Chicago IL 60601.
