Obituary of Edward Duarte Laranjo

Edward D. Laranjo, 92, of Simi Valley, California, passed away on September 18, 2022 in Simi Valley.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 1305 Royal Ave., Simi Valley, CA on September 27, 2022 at 11am.  Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Simi Valley.  Visitation will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home, 4444 Cochran St., Simi Valley, CA 93063 on September 26, 2022 from 5 to 7pm.  Rose Family Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.

Edward Laranjo was born in Taunton Massachusetts to Jose and Mary Laranjo on December 20, 1929.  He worked as a Machinist in the Aerospace Industry ending his career working for Northrop.    Upon retiring, he loved to take long road trips across the United States with his wife and see this beautiful country.   He served in the Marine Corps from 1948 to 1952 stationed at Quantico, Virginia.   He loved watching the Boston Red Sox while enjoying a cold Coors Light.

Edward Laranjo is survived by his wife, Joan Laranjo, Simi Valley, his 5 children, Susan (Gary) Deese, Steven Laranjo, Lynn (Tony) Terry, Patty (Wes) Monk, Greg (Jen) Laranjo.  he has 8 grandchildren, Laura (Josh) Santor, Josh Terry, Tasha Terry, Charlie (Stephanie) Monk, Michael Monk, Todd Monk, David Laranjo and Paige Laranjo.  He also has 3 great grandchildren Audrey Santor, Sydney Santor and Dominic Monk.
