Obituary of Gilda Rosales Tex

Gilda Rosales Tex, 63 years old, of Reseda CA, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2024, in Providence- Cedars Regional Hospital of Tarzana CA.  She was born in Guatemala, daughter to Isabel De Jesus Tex and Cecilio Tex on August 12, 1960. Her life was dedicated to her family and providing care for the elderly. She was a believer and honored our Lord Jesus Christ. At the age of 17, she decided to leave Guatemala and move to the United States in the pursued of the American Dream. Her journey was a difficult and dangerous one in which many are not able to complete. However, Gilda was a determined and courageously completed her journey so that her children would have a better future. She settled with her family learning a new culture and language.  Gilda is survived by her three children who love her dearly . She is preceded in death by her former husband of whom she shared more than 40 years of marriage

Memorial services will be held at Rose Family Funeral Chapel (4444 Cochran St. Simi Valley, CA) on April 15,2024. Service will be conducted from 11:00am - 1:00pm and officiated by Pastor Abe Anaya from Shepherd of the Hills Church. The first half of the hour will be open viewing for those to whish their final respects. If you wish to pay your respects during the viewing, please arrive at 11:00am -11:30am. After, the family has requested a closed casket observance for the remainder time for visitation, service will begin from 12pm -1pm. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park (22601 Lassen St. Chatsworth CA) with a final statement.

The family wishes to extend gratitude to those who cared for their mother while she was at home and hospitalized. Thank you to the nurses and doctors who showed kindness and provided aid in her comfort. To her friends who have shared many stories of joy and happiness they experienced with her as they developed their friendship.  To all those who have been with the family during this difficult time, we thank you for the love and support we have received.
