Obituary of Cristina Laarni David

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Mrs. Cristina Laarni David (Escusa) on November 23, 2024. She was 46 years old.

Laarni was a loving and devoted wife to John Escusa.  She was a selfless, caring and nurturing mother to Yuan Gabriel Escusa and Liam Joseph Escusa. Laarni and John spent a lot of their time supporting their children’s development in sports like basketball, swimming, and water polo.

Laarni was born to parents Meltrina David and Alfredo David Sr., on July 15, 1978 in Manila, Philippines. She was the fourth child out of five children. She spent her early adult years in National City, CA and moved to Los Angeles in 2000. She worked in the mortgage industry for two decades and her most recent position prior to her passing was Senior Underwriter at Cross Country Mortgage.

Laarni is also survived by her siblings Donna, Andre, Alfredo Jr (Chot) and youngest sister, Ana Karenina (Anicar). She is preceded in death by her mother Meltrina David and Alfredo David Sr.

A celebration of life will be held on December 12th and 13th from 5 pm to 9 pm and on December 14th from 10am to 4pm at the Rose Family Funeral Home located at 4444 Cochran Street, Simi Valley, CA 93063.

Our family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our families, friends and the community for their prayers, condolences, and compassionate support during this very difficult time.
