Obituary of Charles John Kamphausen, Jr
Charles John Kamphausen, 81, went to be with the Lord on November 1, 2024. Chuck called Simi Valley, California home for 60 years.
Son of Charles John and Barbara Ann Kamphausen, Chuck was born March 14, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio. He graduated from Maumee High School in 1961 and attended Bowling Green University.
Moving to California in 1964, Chuck worked in aerospace and for United Parcel Service. His father’s experience flying airplanes in World War II, notably, the P-38 Lightning, sparked Chuck’s life-long passion for aviation. He volunteered maintaining the B-25 “Executive Sweet,” and flew often with Ceci. Their flying and love for each other were their strong bonds.
Chuck is preceded to heaven by his parents, siblings Karen Cottrell, Rick Kamphausen, and wife, Patricia Kamphausen.
Chuck is survived by his spouse Cecelia Stratford, brother Ken Kamphausen, son John Kamphausen (DeAnne), daughter Tammy Jenkins (Bryan), step son Rick Andriano, and step daughter Melissa Ferguson (Curtis). He was the proud grandfather of Cameron Kamphausen, Emily Jenkins, Evan Jenkins, and step grandchildren Michael Gorecki, Robyn Gorecki, Brandon Ferguson, Josh Ferguson, Rebecca Ferguson.
