Obituary of Anatol (Andy) Mazor

Andy Mazor, 89, died Feb. 18th, 2014 of natural causes following a long, fulfilling life. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Andy served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He met the love of his life, Ruth, at UCLA and they married in 1952 and raised 2 sons in the San Fernando valley. Andy taught biology at L.A. Fremont High School and went on to be an administrator in the Los Angeles Community College District for over 30 years. He retired from LA Mission College as Vice President. Andy enjoyed travel, music, theatre, scuba diving, snow skiing and family. Andy is survived by his wife, Ruth; his sons Steve (Cammy) and Dave (Julie); his grandsons Adam, Eric, Daniel and Randy; his sister Phyllis Stanley and family. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by family and friends forever. Services will be Sunday, Feb. 23rd, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Sinai Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills. We would like to invite you to wear blue, Andy's favorite color. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Andy's name to your favorite charity. Andy, you will always be in our hearts!
