Please share a memory of Sarah to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
SARAH "SALLY" BRUNKEN KNOX lived a life full of fun, happiness, & adventure. Sally passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the Northridge Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was 96 years young. Sally was born in AR, on June 27, 1917 to James & Alice O'Steen, 1 of 9 children. She grew up in Glendale CA & graduated from Burbank High School then worked as a fashion model. She loved traveling and wanted to see and experience as much of the world as she could. Sally also loved spending time with her family and friends. She was beautiful, elegant and young at heart, she celebrated life! She touched us with her magic and our lives will be better for the privilege of knowing her. She was a remarkable lady whose wisdom & joy will last forever. Sally will be greatly missed by her husband, Ted Knox, daughter Karen Hoyle, brother Gerald O'Steen, daughter-in-law Joy Davis, granddaughters; Kim Helsel, Lisa Warzecha (Kevin), Kori Watts (Tim) & Kelli Welzel (Keith), & her 8 precious Great-Grandchildren. We will treasure all the wonderful memories! Sally looked forward to being reunited with those who had been a special part of her life...her first husband, Hal Helsel, her second husband, Roy Brunken, her son, Bob, her grandson, Randy & many others. What a celebration in Heaven that will be! ON Saturday, March 1st, there will be a Celebration of Sally's Life at 11:00am at the Northridge United Methodist Church, 9650 Reseda Blvd, Northridge, CA. In lieu of flowers a memorial gift in the name of Sarah Brunken-Knox to "All It Takes" at allittakes.org would be a meaningful way to remember Sally's lifelong legacy of love.
