[Lt. Colonel James] [Michael (Jim)] [Ferguson], [69], of [Westlake Village], [CA], passed away on [Feb 18, 2015] after a 13 month battle with Pancreatic cancer, [at his home with loved ones by his side] Funeral service will be held at [St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Westlake Village] on [March 12th] at 10:00am] with Fr. [Jim Stehly] officiating. All other services will be private [Rose Funeral Home] will be handling the funeral arrangements. [Jim] was born in [Brooklyn, NY] to [James Sr. and Mary Ferguson] on [September 20, 1945]. Graduated from Walt Whitman H.S. on Long Island. He went on to earn B.A. from Northridge State and a Masters Degree in Business from [California Lutheran College]. He worked as a [Real Estate Broker] for [35 years]. He enjoyed [reading, hiking, bridge, Scottish Festivals/ pubs and cruising the lake with Chris on Gaelic n Garlic]. He served 4 years active duty and 24 years in the Army Reserves. He achieved the rank of Lt. Colonel. He and Chris were members of the WLYC for 15 years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 25 years and served as Grand Knight. In 2013 he served as Chairman of Aviara Real Estate. [Jim] is survived by his [wife of almost 50 years], [Chris] of [Westlake Village]. (4 sons, James Michael III “Mike (Shirl), Sean (Shannon), Bret (Maureen) & Clint, grandchildren, Jordan, Luke, Kailey, Kristin, Bryce, step grandchildren, Dakota and Ashley. Siblings, Reggie, Chrissie, Brian, Laurie, Dan.
