Obituary of Suzanne Fermier Conlon
Please share a memory of Suzanne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Suzanne Fermier Conlon, 78, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 26 after a defiant fight with lung cancer. Friends and family will always remember her authentic personality, sharp wit, contagious laugh and selfless approach to get any job done. And, done just right.
Born and raised in Danville, PA, Suzanne attended Syracuse University and graduated with a BS degree in Theatre Arts. She earned leading roles throughout her undergraduate years, as well as performed in numerous productions throughout NY state. In addition, Suzanne was a selected member of the university's prestigious Boar's Head Drama Society. She was also a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. In 1960, she chose to step back from the spotlight and take on a new role: homemaker and supportive partner to husband, Noel, also an actor.
The family lived in the Sheepshead Bay area of Brooklyn, NY and in Old Bridge, NJ during the 1960s until 1977. That year, they journeyed to Los Angeles and settled in Westlake Village. Suzanne leaves a legacy as a caring, committed wife and mother, with an uncanny ability to bring innate talent to any endeavor. She is survived by her husband, Noel, and son, Mitchell, of Westlake Village, CA. Daughter, Kelley Conlon Thomas, son-in-law, Paul, and cherished grandson, Cade, of Atlanta, GA. Brother Stephen Fermier of York, PA. Aunt Margaret Fromme of Pottsville, PA. Cousins Daniel, Ben and Bill Fromme of the Silver Springs Maryland area. And many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 13 at 10 am. Viewing at 9:15. St. Jude the Apostle Church: 32032 W. Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake Village, CA 91361. Private burial to follow at Pierce Brothers Cemetery, directed by the Rose Family Funeral Home.
