Obituary of Theresa "Teri" Ann Jackson

Theresa "Teri" Ann Jackson (Augustine), 87, of Fort Mohave, Arizona, previously of West Hills, California passed away on July 1, 2015 in Agoura Hills, California at an assisted living facility with her husband, Larry, by her side. Teri was born in Denver, Colorado to William Augustine and Evangeline Stover Augustine on January 29, 1928. She graduated from Saint Joseph's High School in Denver, Colorado, in 1946. She and Larry married, started a family in Colorado, and moved to California. When her children were young, Teri enrolled in college where she studied art, discovering her natural talent, she became a very accomplished artist for which she received numerous awards and recognition. Teri was most proud of her work as a homemaker and loved raising her children and family. She also worked as a Bookkeeper, Social Activities Coordinator, Travel Agent, and Administrative Assistant. She enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, drawing, painting, and sculpting. After retiring, Teri and Larry moved to Bullhead City, Arizona where they enjoyed being part of the River Cruisers Car Club, dining out and spending nights at the casino with their new friends. Teri is survived by her husband Larry of Fort Mohave, Arizona, their children and grandchildren. Teri and Larry were married on February 27, 1949 and enjoyed 66 wonderful years together before she passed. Teri's family includes her son Rick and his wife, Kathy Jackson of Chatsworth, California; her daughter Debbie and her husband, Robert Grover of Simi Valley, California, their children Tanya and Nicole; her son Doug and his wife, Alisa Jackson of Santa Clarita, California, their children Kiera and Tyler. Teri is also survived by her sister Angela and her husband Joe Chopyak of Denver, Colorado. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bill and his wife Betty Augustine, her brother Jack and his wife Leona Augustine, and her sister Mary and her husband Pete Morin. Funeral service will be held at Cornerstone Community Church on July 14, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Pat McCoy officiating, reception immediately following. Rose Funeral Home of Simi Valley, California will be handling the funeral arrangements.
