Carlee was born in Los Angeles, California to Gladys Potter on January 9th 1928. She attended Polytechnic High School and had remained friends with several of her classmates to present day. She married Otis Kirkman after WWII and they were a devoted and loving couple for over 60 years. Together they shared their favorite fun activities with many of their close friends and family such as square dancing, waterskiing, camping and traveling. Carlee rarely missed her morning walks and was well known around her neighborhood for her matching walking outfits. Some of her hobbies included clogging and painting. Carlee was gracious, loving and enjoyed decorating. Her home showed her warmth and incredible talent for interior design. She had the opportunity to work at a friend’s Paint and Interior Design Store and loved sharing her flare while assisting customers. She also enjoyed the few years she was a Docent at the Stagecoach Inn. Carlee loved to laugh and celebrate the holidays. Christmas was her favorite, making it special and spectacular with decorating her home and with her beautifully wrapped gifts that exposed her thoughtful, loving and giving nature. Carlee is survived by her children, Nancy, Darcy, and Terri who feel blessed to have had the love of such a wonderful mother. She loved her grandchildren Jarrod, Jessie, Misty, Travis and Shane dearly and they her. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Otis Kirkman and her loving mother, Gladys Potter. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Nancy Deocades and Michelle Jacinto.
