Raymond Subia Martinez, 70 years old, of Chatsworth, California, passed away on December 12, 2016. A viewing will be held at Rose Family Funeral Home, 4444 Cochran St, Simi Valley, CA 93063 on Monday, December 19th from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a rosary from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A reception will follow at 22032 Lassen St. Chatsworth CA, 91311. There will be no burial services. Rose Family Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements. Ray was born in Fowler, California to Ramon Martinez and Pauline Subia on September 8th 1946. He met his wife Teresa in Venice, California while attending Mark Twain Junior High. They married November 8th, 1962 and moved to Fresno. Together they had 5 boys and 1 girl and adopted 2 grandchildren. Raymond worked as a sandblaster for Safeway Sandblasting for 12 years. In 1966, he moved his family to the San Fernando Valley. Eventually Ray started his own sandblasting company called Atlas Sandblasting. Raymond is survived by his wife, Teresa Martinez, sons, Raymond, Frank, Danny and Kenny Martinez, daughter Amelia Daniels and 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He also is survived by his brother, Andy, and sister, Eloise, and his many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Ramon Martinez, mother Pauline Rodriguez and step father Ray Rodriguez. He is also predeceased in death by his brother, Eddie, and son, Sammy.
