Jeannine Meredith, 80, passed away peacefully at home in Simi Valley on Wednesday, August 2nd. She felt deeply grateful and especially blessed to remain in her home under the loving care of her family throughout her decline and homebound years.

Jeannine was born in Nanticoke, PA, and graduated from St. Vincent’s Academy in Savannah, GA. She was a long-time resident of Vidalia, GA, where she worked as a secretary for Piggly Wiggly Southern for 20 years before staying in Alabama for a short time, residing in Brandon, MS, and then moving to California, where she lived in her Simi Valley home for 16 years.

We will miss the brightness in her eyes, the softness of her voice, the warmth in her smile, and the beauty and entirety of her spirit. Her light and love will live on in all who had the privilege to know her.

Jeannine was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Charles Meredith, Jr; brother, Joseph Burke of PA; and sister, Dorothy Inglisa of NC.

She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Terry Meredith of CA; devoted daughter, Sandra Meredith of CA; Goddaughter, Angela Whitney of CA; grandchildren, Matthew and Olivia Meredith of CA; and Noah Whitney of CA; beloved siblings: sister, Pat Williamson of TX; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Ray Wellington of AL; twin brother, Jimmy Burke of GA; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Tom Strane of GA; sister-in-law, Susan Burke of UT; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
