Obituary of Barbara Vine Espinoza
Please share a memory of Barbara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Barbara Vine Espinoza of Chatsworth, California, passed away on January 6th, 2018. Barbara was born in Elgin, Minnesota, to Edith and Paul Vine on January 11, 1939. She has four sisters, Kathleen, Leone, Paula and Sally. When Barbara was 12, she and Edith moved to California after her Father's passing.
She married Jesus P. Espinoza aka “Chuy” on August 1, 1955. They had 62 years of marriage that was filled with creating a beautiful family, traveling and serving their community together. She was a wife, a Mother of three, Joe (Barbara), Jess (Bonnie), Loree (Phil), Grandmother of ten, Marissa (Michael), Brian (Brittany), Kelsey (Reggie), Krista, Kyle, Kole, Kody, Jesse, Tanner and Chase, Great Grandmother of three precious grandaughters, Arya, Elle, and Juliette. Barbara is remembered by many for her dedication to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She devoted her time watching them play baseball, basketball, hockey and dance.
Barbara was actively involved with the Chatsworth Chiefs and served on the Auxillary Board at Chatsworth Junior Baseball League aka “CJBL”, where she served this organization for many years as President. Barbara would always be present in the stands or constantly volunteering with fundraising wherever she was involved.
Barbara was an accomplished artist in her own right. Family members and friends cherish her paintings ...some refer to these pieces as their most prized possessions.
Besides the love of her family, Barbara loved the outdoors. One of her favorite places to be was working in her garden. So much so and because she had an artist eye, friends, family and relatives sought her to help design their gardens and yards. Many times, Barbara, along with Chuy, together would gladly help neighbors and family with their landscaping projects. Her passion for the outdoors included the many camping trips with family and friends at the Kern River. She so enjoyed those times.
