It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved father, brother, uncle, friend and coach.  Joe passed away after a brief illness on May 25th 2018 at the age of 54.  Joe is survived by his daughter Marisa Arviso Carrillo, son-in-law Anthony Carrillo, father Joseph Cruz Arvizu Sr, brothers Manuel Soto, Ricky Delgado, Johnny Arviso, Steve Arviso, and sisters Anna Arviso De La Cruz, Rosa Arviso Lemos, Gloria Arviso.  Joe was the youngest of 8 siblings.  He was born in Santa Monica CA on May 5th 1964.  In 1968 the family moved to Simi Valley where he grew up.  He later met Andrea Terrones whom he loved dearly.  They had their only child Marisa on May 22, 1994.  Tragically Andrea passed away a month after giving birth to Marisa.  He mourned Andrea for many years.  Joe never remarried.  He was a devoted father to his daughter raising her alone.   Joe loved music specifically oldies and blues.  He was an accomplished harmonica player.  He found his niche and it brought him much joy.  In the last 2 years Joe began to live out his life dream of coaching kids as a boxing instructor.  Late last year he opened BRAWL DOWN boxing gym in Simi Valley.  Joe was one of kind no nonsense man.  He is now in the presence of our Lord.  Gone but never forgotten.
