Hello. First off on behalf of my family I would like to start off by thanking everyone who has come out and shown support for us. We find some comfort in hearing about Andres and the lives he touched on and off the field.
I was very young when I met Andres given my sister, Griselda, started dating him at 13 years of age. I must have been in elementary school. I remember going with them on dates and being that annoying little sister when we went to go see The Blair Witch Project to let me sit in the middle because I was so scared. But the 2 love birds were just not having it. I had to stick it out and sit on the end.
Coming from a family of all sisters, Andres grew to be the older brother I never had. We got to see each other go through some interesting hair choices & I would never let him live down that one time when he grew bangs & slicked them back & thought he looked cool. Even though I made fun of him, I always did think he was a cool guy.
I remember this one Halloween party at his house when he discovered that someone had broken his Elephant’s tusk and being so upset about it he ended the party and kicked everyone out. Years later I finally admitted to him that it was me that broke it, we laughed about it. He couldn’t believe I kept it a secret for so long.
One of the things I admired about him, was how he become a young dad and stepped up to his responsibility as a father. He was a go getter and did what he had to do to make sure his family was taken care of. One of his greatest achievements was his growth as a father. He was always without a doubt involved in his kids’ lives. There for every game not because he had to but because he WANTED to. He thoroughly enjoyed it.
I will forever miss you Andres, your jokes, crazy ideas, insights & advice. But I will cherish the years we did have. Thank you for being my drinking buddy, partner in crime, and the best big brother life could have given me. I promise to be there for Gris, Christopher, Nani & Izzy as best I can. By just showing up, how you taught me. & Its simply not goodbye its see you later Brother, I love you Woody!
Your little sister, Anais
Hola.
Tu hermanita, Anais

Andres was like everyone’s big brother, the one that was always reliable but also the one that would you egg you on ... usually for a good time.
Some of the best times of my life are with my cousins. Staying up late, drinking, eating and enjoying each other’s company.
Amongst us, Andres always seemed to be the voice of reason. His peaceful strength made him one of the leaders of our pack. He led quietly, never having to be confrontational or intimidating. When he spoke, everyone listened. He was a great father and role model to my nieces and nephew. He taught them resilience, kindness and hard work through his actions. He was always working towards something. And one of his biggest accomplishments was his relationship with my beautiful cousin, Griselda. He KNEW she was the love of his life at such a young age. They were destined to be together.
Andres, you filled the room with joy and will continue to do so every time we share one of your stories. Thank you for always being our big brother. ❤️

Marrying into a huge family can be hard, and even harder when the family speaks Spanish and you don’t. Andres was always looking out for me, taking me to have a drink or translating a funny joke I missed, or coaching me through something at the Annual Christmas soccer game. Over the years we became friends and he would call me on occasion to get my opinions on things and I really valued our friendship. Andres was a person that always tried his hardest; every time we came to town he explained how he was attacking his next venture; always with excitement and optimism. He was exactly what he appeared to be, a good man, father husband and friend. Cheers buddy

Andres was a huge impact in my life ,whenever I needed help with soccer he would always give me advice to do better, work harder on and off the field. I thank him so much for helping me through times when I felt I didn’t need help but he did anyways because that’s the type of person he is. We shared a lot of beautiful moments together, whether it was soccer or family events he was always there having the time of his life. The moments we all have with him were amazing and it hurts thats he will no longer be around but he will always be watching over us. Andres i love you and i miss you deeply. I’ll always watch over my beautiful nephews Christopher, Nani, Izzy, and my beautiful cousin Griselda, May you Rest In Peace

Andres' parents wanted to share that Andres was always different than them and his brother, he always stood out in the family because he was always social and outgoing ever since he was little. He was always in a hurry to grow up and wanting to learn more. Andres will be deeply missed.
