Condolences to your family. After all these years, I still have memories of him. His was my first kiss, my first boyfriend, my first love, and my first heartbreak!

Jim will alway be one of my favorite people I had in my life. So sorry to hear of his passing. Remembering our Keno nights, Vegas and Laughlin trips, your infectious laugh and all the life lessons I still carry with me today! Loved you and you will be missed.

My older brother Jim , you will be missed by so many people !! There are so many things to say about you ! How you always made me feel so special is just a start. When you and Sherry got married, I was so young and thought she was taking you away from the family! You sat me down and talked to me about how she was joining the family , how we were all family ! Loved Sherry from then on, lol ! I have the scar and story to tell on how you told mom that you had worked as a barber and told her you would cut my hair ! Little did we know you were about to almost cut my ear off ! You always joked around and I loved that about you!! Your John Wayne impressions made me smile ! Thank you for everything , big brother !!

I'll miss you Jim, my only big brother-in-law. First met you and Sherrie during your visit to Monterrey when Kathy & I were stationed there. After we greeted each other you said "Well take some advice, Pilgrim" (in a perfect John Wayne imitation). Another one was "Well Good Luck, Pilgrim".. Also witnessed your expertise throwing darts at Blueberry Hill in St.Louis as you tactfully took the wind out of a couple blowhards, along with an enviable amount of their cash. Your admirable and natural smile will never be forgotten.

We are so sad to hear of the passing of such a great man. His personality was bigger than life. He was so funny and was great with my children. Sherrie, Jennifer & Ryan our thoughts are with you today.

Back in the late (70's), JIM was tasked with keeping track of this young campus rep who was a handful ... I know I gave him a number of "grey hairs" during the time we spent together, but there is no question that he gave me an opportunity to learn from a legend ... I will forever be grateful for your mentorship and friendship !!

I find it hard to call you “Edward”, Jim, because Jim is the only name I’ve ever called you for over 55 years. I'm sure there were other names I used at various times, but you’ll always be Jim to me. You will be missed and forever remembered whenever I hear the song, “New York, New York” or see a John Wayne movie. Rest in peace my friend. Love and hugs to you, Sherrie, as well as Ryan, Jennifer and all the grandkids. We all lost one heck of a great guy.
