Obituary of Edward James Ouellette

Edward James “Jim” “Jimmy” “Jimmy Lite” Ouellette Jr., 74, of Simi Valley, California passed away on July 24, 2022 in the comfort of his home.   

Funeral service at Rose Family Funeral Home & Cremation at 4444 Cochran St, Simi Valley, Ca 93063 on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with Deacon Melecio Zamora of St Peter Claver Church officiating.

Jim was born in Brooklyn, New York to Edward James Ouellette Sr and Shirley Sweeney on January 23, 1948.  He went to high school at Hawthorne High and graduated in 1966.  He went on to pursue a degree in business at El Camino College.  He worked as a Beverage Sales Manager at Anheuser-Busch for over 30 years.  He enjoyed playing darts, taking vacations, and spending time with his family and friends.  Family was everything to him.   He also loved coaching and umpiring baseball.   Jim was champion in darts and was selected to play on the American team and was instrumental in beating the British.

Jim is survived by his wife Sherrie Ouellette, his son Ryan Ouellette and wife Monique of Simi Valley, his daughter Jennifer Ouellette of Simi Valley, his grandchildren Devyn, Dayton, Derek, Blake, Luke, and Kaitlyn.  His sister Kathy Maryan, and brothers Myles, Michael and Gary Sweeney, and Thomas Ouellette, and an abundance of nieces and nephews who he loved as his own.  He is preceded in death by his Dad, Edward James Ouellette, Sr., his Mom Shirley Sweeney, his sisters Anne Statiroudis, and Patricia Pittsenbarger, and brother Stephen “Bud” Ouellette, and nephew Aristedes “Teddy” Statiroudis.

Jimmy was loved by so many, to know him was to love him.  He had a way of making everyone feel like they were his best friend, because to him, they were.
