Obituary of Ed Cass
Ed Cass, 59, of Westlake Village, California passed away on September 6, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at St. Jude's Catholic Community on Monday, September 11 at 10:00 am.
Ed was born in New York, New York to Edmund and Sally Cass on December 5, 1957. He attended high school in Lynchburg, Virginia and the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. While in college, Ed worked in the restaurants of Colonial Williamsburg, where he developed an interest in the food service industry. Ed subsequently trained as a chef at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. He founded Columbia Chef Caterers in Columbia, Maryland. Upon moving to California in 1999, Ed worked as a chef for several area catering companies.
Ed is survived by his wife, Susan and children Edmund and Colleen; his parents, Ed and Sally of Lynchburg, Virginia; and his siblings Donna Slade of Bedford, Virginia, Chris Cass of Lynchburg, Virginia and Susan Koors of Norfolk, Massachusetts.
